    Calor gas bottles for barbecue.

Back to the original question, after a bit of googling, I reckon if the clip on regulator fits, it'll be fine. If the cap fits, flare it.

    Calor gas bottles for barbecue.

As far as I remember, the word comes from a Taino word "barbacoa" which refers to a frame of sticks used for cooking over a fire. So probably no propane involved. However, language does evolve, like it or not. One of my barbecues burns charcoal, the other gas. I'm a great believer in diversity.

    Circular Saw Vs Track Saw

Circular saw? We just used an axe. What's with all this power tool nonsense?

    Calor gas bottles for barbecue.

The bottles are green, and I'm fairly sure the connection is the same too. I'll check in the morning. Thanks.

    Calor gas bottles for barbecue.

Just bought a cheap gas barbecue from Lidl. I have to say it seems fairly well made by comparison with the last two we've owned, but to be honest, that's a fairly low bar. It does have stainless steel burners, however. Anyway, it claims to be compatible with 8kg 9kg and 11kg gas bottles (or...

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

The mirror image of "getting things done" could just as well be "don't screw around with stuff". Especially if you don't know what you're doing.

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

"Getting things done" appears to be the new gold standard in government. I heard some (old) people being interviewed on the wireless the other day, and one said Thatcher was the best ever PM, because she "got things done". Jack the ripper "got things done", Genghis Khan "got things done". It's a...

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

My youngest stepdaughter is currently doing her PHD, and was a finalist in Only Connect a few years back. I reckon she could be smarter than Spectric. She almost certainly knows more about the state of education in this country, seeing as that's relevant to her PHD focus.

    Handrail brackets

Can't help with the chrome screws, but the best advice I got from this forum was to use Fischer wall plugs. I've fitted three mopstick handrails in our house and you could hang half the Tory party from them with no trouble. Come to think of it....

She sounds like an extremely clever parrot! How are her basic hand skills?

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

Based on what? You really do talk some nonsense... My 10 year old granddaughter was having to underline subordinate conjugations the other week.

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

Really, what is your point? The Tories are also saying they'll fix everything, but they've been unfixing it for 14 years!

    Well I Never, printer kaput?

I can see how I unplugging/switching off at the socket, and then trying to turn it on a few times might discharge capacitors, but 20 times? Maybe overkill? Who cares, if it worked, it worked.

    Well I Never, printer kaput?

I have to wonder whether 18 or 19 firm presses would have had the same outcome.

I have no problem at all understanding basic English, when I encounter it.

    THE FOURTH OF JULY

I don't understand what point you're trying to make. You keep suggesting things will be much worse if Labour get a majority, then you say both Labour and Conservative are as bad as each other. I think you need to stop talking nonsense and make your mind up. The Tories have had 14 years to do...

    Vehicle batteries

My wife had an Auris Hybrid, nice car, but when the 12v battery went flat, you couldn't even charge it in situ. As soon as the battery voltage reached a certain point, it would try to fire up the car, and immediately use all the juice the charger had just put in. Only way was a jump start.

    Joke Thread 4 (closed).

I know it's a joke, but that turbine might work better if it wasn't directly in front of a wall.

    Vehicle batteries

I think you'll find that they give off oxygen as well.. However, I take the point made by the OP, the alternator will charge the batteries under normal circumstances, and while they're in that same, confined space.
