    Tablet/phone charging

As was mentioned in another thread, the thing you plug into the wall socket, or the outlet in your motorhome are not really chargers. The charger is in your phone or tablet. Various methods, including shorting the d+ and d- lines together, indicate to the charging circuitry in the phone what the...

Um, no you didn't... But aren't religious threads forbidden? You did say "other other", though, which I suppose could mean "the same". Hope that helps.

Potential sites for new mega-solar farms

Potential sites for new mega-solar farms

Seems like a strange thing to say. How does he suppose the stability of the 50hz is monitored? I'll bet there's a quartz crystal or similar in the mix somewhere. I could be wrong, but I don't see the lack of rotating turbines to be an insurmountable hurdle in the road towards more renewables.

Hold on - I reckon that's a small fraction of a person. Maybe check your maths.

    Tablet/phone charging

While not disagreeing with anything you say, in a lot of cases the "communication" is something as simple as connecting the d+ and d- lines together at the charger end, or setting them to specific voltage levels with a simple resistor divider network, i.e. a resistor to 0v and another to 5v.

    Tablet/phone charging

It could be that the one in your motorhome doesn't do the right thing with the d+ and d- connections. Google USB charging.

    This is me!!

I looked at the Trust pilot reviews, a lot are for things other than batteries, such as solar panels, and a lot are about poor delivery, transit damage etc. It's an inherent problem with reviews. Anyway, I bought this battery to replace a couple of 130ah 12v flooded lead acid batteries(with...

    Circular saw guide advice please....

I have a cheap one from BandQ, and one from Rutland(IIRC). The cheap one is indeed more difficult to get square, but that can be an advantage sometimes, especially when using it as a simple clamp.

Well maybe you shouldn't post misinformation then. It can have catastrophic consequences. Although I doubt that this forum has sufficient following to cause mass social unrest.

Interesting. I have an EcoWorthy 24v 100ah lifepo4 battery in my solar shed. What's their reputation?

Very nice. Forgive my ignorance, but what are Evie cells? I googled it, but that didn't help at all.
