    US Election November 5th

Do you think Swift gives a toss what Trump thinks?

Multi tools, huh! What are they good for?

I have a Leatherman Wave, second one first was take, along with a laptop, but nothing else, by a burglar about 20 years ago. Shows that my policy of owning nothing worth stealing pays off! I find it very handy, but can't believe it doesn't have a corkscrew.

Not necessarily an east west thing, although I think your assumption is telling, my cousin who has lived in Crete for 50 years or so tells me that hardly anybody goes into care homes there.

    No Fault Evictions

Haven't we been through this before? Lots of people work very hard, nurses are the often used example, but are unlikely to get rich. Of course there will always be some who exploit the system and choose not to work, but the stories of people arriving at food banks in posh German cars are just...

    Spoonerisms....

No, but they do seem to feature in the broadsheet cryptic crosswords quite frequently.

So how do you guard against legionella??

    Boiler efficiency query

Not only am I surprised that your boiler only has the one temperature setting for DHW and CH, but I was also under the impression that modern boilers were programmable to the extent of raising the DHW to a higher temperature once a week/month whatever in order to guard against legionella.

I ingest a few, but they're all white, sadly.

    Sharpening

Ok. I've ordered one from AliExpress. I shall be blaming you if it turns out to be rubbish. Could I have your street address, please, so that I can send my American brothers in law round if I'm not satisfied?

Recommendations for low price ultrasonic cleaner for Stihl carburetor

https://gardentoolspares.com/product/stihl-fs94-km94-carburettor-zama/ Mind you, I just bought a small spring for my mower from these people, and they add postage and then VAT, and you find the price has doubled... I reckon you'd get it cheaper somewhere else, if you could find it.

    Boiler efficiency query

Indeed, but if you have a "proper" system boiler, is it not possible to set different temperatures for the DHW and CH? Genuine question, as our system is a bit of a Frankenstein's monster - we have a combi, but the DHW side is blanked off, and there are external diverter valves. I'd always...
