Now I have Mastered Woodwork I am moving on losers.

    Which new TV?

Of course if you are unable to watch "First Dates" it may well be a smart TV....

    Bog Oak The Jubilee Table

Black Oak is a relative of Red Oak I thought. Whereas bog Oak is much as I described above, no? If the man wants to describe it in more up-market terms he should call it blackened Oak perhaps, or buried in the ground Oak....... : )

    Which new TV?

You do realise Chris what you should've done is not post here and go and buy the TV your kids decide on? Decisions, decisions... : )

    Which new TV?

Chris, would suggest a 32" unless you've a large living room. Maybe 40" would be ok. And don't get a silver one!!!! (so 90s) Has to be black . I would have no issues with any of the two brands you've mentioned, along with any others at that price point. We've something similar (Hannspree 32) and...

    Bog Oak The Jubilee Table

Black Oak is a separate species (mostly US I think, lovely timber, similar to Red Oak), whereas bog Oak is regular Oak steeped and marinated in a bog for a while.... ~: ) Edit- See what you mean- the article refers to "Black Oak" so no idea if it's bog Oak or Black Oak or bog Black Oak...

    GOT and other TV series

That's right, the big spiders. Ice spiders I think they were called, did Sam T mention them?

    GOT and other TV series

Yep, ditto. I personally find it hard to remember all the ins and outs of the various sagas and machinations of the last 7 series and to fully enjoy it and to understand it much better I use the various fan sites to help (especially to remember names and characters). This site is good and...

    Insect numbers

Not many squished bugs on the cars yet, still too cool I think. But the bees were busy this morning, here's a ginger one (where else would you find a ginger bee...), if you look closely you'll see the face of a Koala bear on the back of it's head, well you might do:

    GOT and other TV series

Thanks T, did see him a few times but not at the end. Now that Winterfell* and the North have survived will be interesting to see what Euron and Cersei will do, no doubt anything to hang onto the Iron throne. Although I'd trust Euron even less than Cersei. And Jon Snow and Daenerys? Bit awkward...

Well? Seriously, still looks well and we all know those little things can take time.

    GOT and other TV series

Not so bad after the Red Priestess* lit the swords and trenches. Did try watching in the dark but not much improvement..... Was it no better on a good TV ? (computer screen for me). Edit: Melisandre Edit 2: Garno, it's not hard to find.....

    GOT and other TV series

You miss the big black letters Garno? : ) Added to the title now just in case somebody who hasn't watched it might be under the impression that a thread titled GOT on the morning after might.......... : )

    GOT and other TV series

Couldn't agree more, superb. Sad to see a few go, especially Jorah. And no more Dothraki, what about Grey Worm?

    GOT and other TV series

A bit dark, literally, to begin with but a fantastic 75 mins. Anybody else enjoy it? Beware - SPOILER ALERT

    I wish I was younger.

Lucky guy. Is woodland cheaper than agriculture land WW? Are there any restrictions?

Faux brick wall panels, anybody used these?

Other option is this. A neighbour did something similar but used individual brick faces (clay/ceramic type) along with L shaped ones for the external corners (he did his chimney breast rather than a wall) and it looks well (ish). No doubt the panels would be less work but alignment, as mentioned...

Removing Roof tiles from inside for Velux-style loft window

Sam, if you're really concerned you can drill a hole through the first tile, put a plasterboard butterfly type fixing (or the type that compresses on the other side) through the hole with stout twine attached and wrap the end around your wrist. If the tile slips, it'll not go far.
