Indeed!!. Had checked but Sammy.se's cunningly titled "Restoration" thread didn't register ( registrar?).

Cutting floor boards - a cautionary tale

Presumably this poor gentleman was using a CS whilst cutting floor boards, but a happy-ish outcome: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-englan ... w-accident Gory images included.

Reynolds Hand Morticing Machine restored (finally).

Thanks Chris for the detailed explanation and also to Andy for the additional information, especially on the square chisel/core driver. I see there is a boring attachment on the Melhuish listing/Centre Motion Machine (quaint description) example Andy posted. Very interesting.

Reynolds Hand Morticing Machine restored (finally).

Great work Chris. Excuse my ignorance but how is the mortice cut? Hole first or similar to cutting one by hand? Which would, I assume, mean rotating the stock/chisel? (I think you mentioned something about rotation). Lastly, there's a chisel with no edge, is that for finishing or something else...

    Aldi wine

In one country (Armagh) there's at least 250 commercial orchards that supports dozens of traditional and craft cider producers. On the island itself it's a massive industry. Tempted and Dan Kellys are two lovely ciders if you ever get the chance, both supplied by their own orchards near hand.

Yep, work hard, look after your family and have a beer on a Saturday night. As for a send off, this is the only way (warning, couple of rudish words at the start): Mr Brightside, the late Gerard Foley: digsMgWmrL8

Couple of easy (!) questions please

Attach to the plate with masking tape, sellotape, gaffa tape, anything similar around the edges will do the job and you can re-use the paper again.

3M Spray Mount works well. If you're using a jig just wetting the glass works too.

    A proud day

Indeed, would've liked a bit more of a challenge from Fleetwood, Westwood (wishful thinking there) and Koepka et al but was an enjoyable afternoon. If McIlroy just played his old free wheeling game of going for every pin (as he did on day 2) could've had a really good battle today.

    Tax evaders

Can vouch for Ronald McDonald, met him at a birthday party one of the kids went too. Slightly eccentric dress sense, footwear I'm not sure I would wear myself but he seemed a decent, friendly bloke.
