    Chainsaws?

Not quite. The brake can indeed be activated by inertia force, generally a side swipe type of movement, but the top of the brake lever is designed to come into contact with your top hand in the event of an upward kickback.

    Hermes deliveries

I think the new 72p RM parcel collection service is limited to 4 collections per post round per day. Any more gets moved to next day and so on.

    Flu ***

People, I've deleted 2 posts that were discriminatory toward less fortunate folk than most here. One other post was deleted as it quoted deleted content although it would've been welcome in other circumstances. Please think before you post, no matter how detached you may be from the present.

Strange design of park bench- any ideas?

Hi, benches that were placed on deck for passengers to sit (with blanket) during a trip up and the likes of Windermere etc. Popular during Edwardian times.

Strange design of park bench- any ideas?

Steamer bench perhaps. Don't think it's a tram bench, most had the swinging/pivoting back rest and no arm rest.

Comparing Scroll Saws Sticky? Other suggestions?

No problem. You guys are the experts regarding scrolling so I can't/won't decide the worth of something to be pinned. Blades sound a logical suggestion. If there is nothing that can be found (or up to date) write, or get together or nominate somebody to do a post.

Comparing Scroll Saws Sticky? Other suggestions?

Ok, that's nailed to the top. As 2/3 stickies are allowed if there's another one or two that would benefit the scrolling community (and others) please drop your suggestions below. @BigKen I've edited the thread title to reflect it's contents. Hope that's ok.

I've a few Makita cordless items. Have also the brushless cordless impact driver and grinder without the Makita badge... Any good? Very good. They only have had occasional use so far but very happy with them. Also, like many here, have the Katsu corded trimmer router which is very good. PS-...

    Social distancing, .. what's that?

I've no problem with discussions on most issues but with that comes a degree of responsibility, especially with regards to health and wellbeing. And furthermore a good measure of respect toward other members as opposed to insults and the usual passive/aggressive commentary and innuendo. If the...

    Pipe for pipe clamps ?

Ah, ok. I've a few Uniklamps and one or two stick but a good wire brushing sorts them out, usually a bit of glue in the serrations. Or sometimes a light sanding does the trick. Some may recall Axminster having a typo in their K-Body pricing years ago, many here took advantage and Axminster...

    Pipe for pipe clamps ?

Good value Marcos, although only 1/2" but still good at that money. The steel...

    Old Woodworking Tools

Some posts were deleted as it was turning into a sales thread. The OP has just recently joined and discussion and value of one particular tool was allowed but further mention, essentially advertising, by the OP of more items is against forum policy.

advice on neighbours smoke from chimney issue

Obviously very poor draw in the chimney. Talk to your local council's Environmental Health dept. They are usual very helpful, especially in matters where the welfare of a person is involved.
