It was all a dream, no sea border thank goodness:

UKgov guidance is that the previous consumer rights have been binned and if you have any issues they point to the local court in the EU state concerned.

The future is here, well tomorrow. New GB standard marking is UKCA. Some products will need it from day one, others end of year and other from 2022. If you sell in GB* your product needs the UKCA standard mark, the CE mark will eventually not be accepted. * GB only. The new mark will not be...

Any examples? I certainly can’t think of anything that would be less expensive.

If MWSt is 19% and UK vat is 20%? Add handling/admin charges as well.

Ok folks, 90 minutes plus injury time, whistle has gone. A lot of, erm, interesting, views.

    Tier 4

Unlikely, the new strain has not changed that much but if it does, vaccines can be tweaked to address the change, much like, I believe, the flu vaccine every year. There's been many thousands of changes, normal enough apparently with RNA virus but all are of little consequence other than...

    Battery chargers - be careful

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55317414 I recall some years ago a member mentioning a charger igniting and destroying their home. Personally I've got into the habit (mostly) of not leaving batteries on charge overnight. Interesting point ref eBay's responsibility in the matter.

    Has anyone used powertoolmate.co.uk ?

Further to my earlier post- I had quite the opposite experience. Ordered, money taken, note to say item despatched. Thought that was it. Got an alert that money had been refunded (still waiting) and not a mention of why or "sorry made a mistake" or whatever. So never again Powertoolmate. But...

    Drilling bathroom tiles.

Drilling tiles shouldn’t be a problem Artie. Nip down to the hardware shop, buy a tile/glass bIt, 6mm is usually best (and often only size you’ll get locally). Stick a bit of masking tape on the tile and mark your place to drill. Slowly drill through tile and stop, then go with a masonry bit...

    Has anyone used powertoolmate.co.uk ?

Just ordered a Makita item this afternoon from them. Haven't used them before. Go through eBay if you don't want to deal direct, at least some financial anonymity and protection. And as mentioned, seem to be part of an established company: Westward Building Services LTD CUSTOMER SERVICES...

Has anyone tried Dewalt 20v batteries on Erbauer EXT tools?

I think Gazza was referring to battery adaptors where you can run a DW from a Milwaukee or Makita battery or vice versa etc...

Has anyone tried Dewalt 20v batteries on Erbauer EXT tools?

Unlikely there'll ever be an adaptor for Erbauer. Rule seems to be that if a tool/brand is not on the North American market there's little chance anything will be manufactured. Europe is a small market with too many brands. Other option is to DIY it, plenty of info on the web but you'll have to...

    Chainsaws?

Exactly. Safety can be compromised by not understanding basic manufacturer guidance and design. As for legs being in the way when felling..........I've no idea how that can happen. As @Phil Pascoe mentions, the saw should not be between you and the tree. Really.
