Hi, I wondered if I could get some opinions from you other professionals here regarding a problem on one of our jobs. We are working a total refurbishment of a victorian terraced house, including complete insulation, new floors ( not joists) and replastering.
The client supplied the new...
Exactly.......So, we are all woodworkers here, many professionals and many more highly skilled amateurs. Many of us cook, or do other hobbies, like cycling, swimming etc.
Following the logic of the assertion that its impossible to tell if you are in fact a good or skilled or above average...
Yes, well, you know what they say about sarcasm...........Why would you choose to interpret what I was saying as that? I just re read it and its pretty clear to me what I was saying.
I clearly said that your speed should match conditions. If you were driving in a built up area, along a stretch...
I think you will find that whatever side of the fence you fall on this, no one has altered their stance on this subject despite what any of the other posters say. Most people have their opinions and don't change them. Nothing wrong with that, but don't come here and try and tell me I won't...
I too remember the last thread and it's all been done to death there really. However, since you raised the stopping distance point Steve ( and I am sure we can debate this politely until Jacob comes along), these figures can be a bit of a misnomer...consider this, in the hypothetical "child...
This is a strange one, as fixed cameras have to have a sign showing the road has cameras. Also, they recently changed from making the cameras grey, so they were more difficult to see, to painting them bright yellow. I wonder why its different for that scenario? If you make someone slow down...
I am a big big aviation fan, in particular the military stuff. If you like the sound of jet engines, then a trip to RIAT is a must, the Mig29 is pretty amazing to hear, but the best noise I think has to be a toss up between the Phantom and the Bone ( B1) At the RIAT, both did a full speed low...
he he...you are so ******* now......
was a bit surprised to see some rustiness there though.....you need to get on top of that...I cant abide a dirty, rusty or generally shabby tool, when I get a plane, it gets the full treatment ......
Cheers, Mark
Oh, and the space is limited, as since you were there, I have got myself a Felder CF741S universal machine. But I had a bit of a reorganisation in the workshop and have made enough room for the new arrival. However, I will struggle to fit anything else in though....perhaps a good thing ! I can...
I was lucky enough to be the purchaser of the PK in this thread. It is indeed a lovely thing and Mark has done a great job in getting it to a working condition and bringing it back.
I have been inspired by the restoration done by Jack (tool163) on his PK, and, as mine has been used and started...
I have restored loads of old planes....dont worry about removing metal, to get that nice and polished, you will have to remove some, and its perfectly possible to do this without altering the flatness of the sole. I use a sheet of glass with wet and dry paper stuck to, start at 120 grit and work...
Aaaah....a fellow virtual pilot! here is some shots of my setup:
What sims do you fly? I do Falcon 4 BMS, & FSX mostly. Some DCS as well, but not much time lately....
