Sorry James, I don't understand. Why do you need to taper all 4 faces? If you start your stock with 2 sides planed square to each other, then you only need to taper the opposing faces to achieve your aim.

Don't know if it is relevant but I made a jig for making tapered table legs using instructions from Paul Sellers. It may be adaptable for your task.

I had a Morris Marina coupe in BLMC Tundra while I was serving at Catterick a while back ('75). I remember the reg OTO213M looked a little bit like a military reg at a glance and several times I was saluted as I drove in to camp thinking it was a staff car.😜 Terrible car, gearbox was naff.

Has anyone got one of these machines? Looks very similar to the Jet JWP 12 thicknesser and I was wondering if it is worth considering as it is £100 cheaper for pretty much the same spec. I would appreciate any recommendations, and no, I don't need or want a planer/thicknesser, just a thicknesser.

Looks like eucalyptus to me. Apparently bees love them.

That I don't know but as Festool and Makita tracks are compatible I would suspect that it will. Peter Millard did a very good review of track compatibility so he might know.
