    Funky Banjo

Much obliged. My log burner awaits with excitement🤥🤥🤥 By the way, if you have difficulty getting Loctite in you patch, or you're tight like me, you could try a blob or two of nail varnish as a quick fix.

    Bandsaw bearings- Help!

Hi Spectric I believe that Z stands for shield whereas RS denotes seal hence 2RS is sealed both sides. Thats what the bearing supplier tells me.

Thanks Spectric but aren't 6092RS fully sealed? I have a choice of Enduro, Codex or RSH. Are they not suitable?

    Bandsaw bearings- Help!

Thanks I tried that but it doesn't want to shift. That's why I was asking if there are any other ways of getting it to shift. I suppose freezing it won't help as all components will shrink accordingly. Better pics attached

    Bandsaw bearings- Help!

I have - yet again - a bearing failure on my Charnwood BS350 bandsaw. I know they have used cheapo bearings 609z but unfortunately these are prone to seize and I want to replace them with decent 6092RS types. Unfortunately they have 2 bearings mounted on a threaded shaft on each side and I...

    Superglue

One tip about superglue, which I picked up and have used successfully for a couple of years now, is once you open the bottle don't replace the cap. After use just clear the nozzle by wiping/squeezing it clear and then store with any others away from damp. The only rider to this is do not...

    Wanted Stanley 90 Bullnose plane

Well apart from the fact the 75 is bevel down, doesn't have a fine screw depth adjustment, and from reports I've read it is an abomination to use then I might be persuaded, but thanks for the suggestion anyway:)

    What are these, please?

Looks to me like galvanized straps for fixing roofing timbers to the walls. https://www.buildersmetalwork.com/light_duty_restraint_strap_200mm_flat.html
