Not happy - Tin pot council officers who can issue fines.

Agreed some are excessively loud, unfortunately there's a small loophole in motorcycle MOT, there's no written decibel limit, it's down to the examiners discretion if he thinks it's too loud then it is, or at least that's how it was last time a traffic officer sent me for an MOT retest because...

Not happy - Tin pot council officers who can issue fines.

It's not illegal for motorcycles to filter through traffic, I've been a biker for almost 20 years, yes there those idiots who think it fun to act like clowns pulling wheelies and creating danger to everyone else but they are the minority and often youngsters on stupid little hairdryers trying to...

This is my 3rd year doing it, the first year I received an awesome R2D2 shaped phone holder and a set of coasters with pictures of fish drawn in coloured pyrography (fish and aquariums are one...

What are these living in my shed?

I used to have a rodent problem in the garage, since I turned half of it into my makerspace I don't see any signs of them at all.

How much should a gymnasium roof cost?

My roof is timber and rubberized membrane not metal sheets, it also needs completely removing and replacing due to water damage.

This one is only really meant for defining the edges of the texture once you've used the decorating elf.

Was challenged to turn some crochet hooks so I split some cherry and had a go, I think they're a bit short but the challenger will test them out, took ages to cut/file/sand the hook, no finish just sanded to 500g, raised the grain then lightly sanded with 600g

Agreed, plus we then all get to enjoy the picture thread of what everyone got so the more people involved the better, you can either make something, buy something or even send some nice bits of wood. Last year I got a beautifully made decorating elf and small skew to add to my tool set, which...

Had to remove a large limb from a conifer today and decided to turn a few little trees just for the fun of it and to see how they react as they dry out, other limbs that I've had to remove in the past have not split or cracked at all even after months. I also turned a twig pot from a childs...

A quick Ash bowl today, started with a round that was about 8inches but a crack had developed so by the time I had turned it almost completely away I was left with about 5.5 inches, sanded to 320g and finished with wax, this is from the tree across from school that I collected back in January...
