Can be hit and miss, if it goes punky then its no good but generally when its good the bark is very soft and the wood is quite hard and takes a polish really well, I'll see what I have and send you some 😉

It's preferred that it's something you've made but if you're stuck for ideas it's perfectly acceptable to buy something, we've never put spend limits on it, everyone is an adult and able to decide for themselves what they are able/willing to give, i dont think anyone has been disappointedso far...

I'd be more concerned with sand embedded in the wood, it will dull the cutting edge very quickly

Will probably glue them up into blanks.

No worries. I'd love a moisture meter but the good ones seem to be fairly expensive, I need to improve my dust collection and air cleaning first, then there's a whole list of tools and stuff I need 😅

I have a couple of bar heaters going spare if you need them,eventually I'll build my own drying box but don't have anywhere to put one.
