    New Diesel & Petrol Ban

Im not socialist but I think Tata should be stripped of Thier ownership of British steel making as it's a asset of national importance esp to the armed forces. Re the ICE I believe that Europe is 2035 so that's when the big markets / players will be winding down ice production. To me it's...

    What van do I buy?

The 2.5 was more trouble than the 1.9tdi. It's the 2.0 2012 onwards 105/140 that you want the 2.0 biturbo was trouble too irrc.

    What van do I buy?

Older 2.2 best pre ad blue - which is a nightmare. Mk8 / customs don't seem to be rusting like the older ones. Renuslts are rubbish tbh. Sprinters are full of sensors. VW are good then 2.0 adequate unless your into towing imho. Was nice in the caravelle we had.

    Roof overhang limits

If your using 400mm centres why not make it 400mm overhang seems obvious to me...land a joist on the wall? One bay out each side. Noggins every 1.05m Just my inexperienced thoughts!

    Electric vehicles

They will trickle down from main stealers I expect. The majority of smaller garages won't see an EV for 10 years yet .. Perhaps brakes on a leaf but anything HV electrical will write it off.

A heavy load (for a shed)

I think you'll find the joists will be fine but any point loads might too much for 18mm osb or pine? A Sher if 18mm hardwood plywood might help spread the load.
