    If I were making such a bridge I would make the sides trussed just like iron bridges are. That way the top and bottom beams take the tension with the triangulation between??

    I used Leyland garage floor paint and it's been brilliant on a chipboard flooring which had loads of condensation dripping on it last winter. Cured now with insulation in roof!
