Post a photo of the last thing you made

Apologies for including this among such great works. My G/granddaughter wanted a 'special box' to keep some of her treasures in so I came up with this. It works with rare earth magnets, one in the door and one in the right end to lock it. I'm certainly no joiner but I like to try and make things...

    Tanalised shed

Hi Tony, I thought that the 43" was a typo until you clarified it. If 43" is the external dimension then the internal width is going to be even tighter, I would agree with Keith in saying that it would be too narrow to use as a workshop.

I really like the chair =D> but not the paint finish :( As has been said, a few paint splashes should improve the look of it over time.

    Goodbye all!!!!

Just attempting to clear this muddy water some landlubbers are wallowing in. If this is a woodworking forum and politics is taboo, why is there a section for GENERAL METALWORKING ?

    DeWalt tablesaw

I have the DeWalt 745 and agree about the noise. I also didn't like the start/stop buttons which were too far under the table for my liking so I made a small mod to it which I find is a lot easier. Apart from the noise I think the saw is excellent value for the money.

    Riving knife problem

Hi Pete, thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the riving knife had to be fractionally thinner than the kerf of the blade, but when cutting a piece of wood it seemed to be binding, which I couldn't understand. I've just been out to the saw again and have found the problem to be...

    Riving knife problem

I have just bought a Freud blade for my DeWalt 745 table saw but now have a riving knife problem. The riving knife thickness measures 2.18mm but the thickness of the blade is 1.83 and the kerf is 2.81. I have searched for a suitable riving knife but haven't had any success, can anyone help me...

Table saws: is kickback feasible with a riving knife?

Sploo, I glued fine sandpaper onto my push sticks, they grip the wood but don't mark it.

Table saws: is kickback feasible with a riving knife?

I certainly wouldn't like to be around if this joker had a kick back. The blades measure 9ft and reached a speed of 130mph.
