Potential sites for new mega-solar farms

Surely exactly the opposite "The anti-monopolist rules reward all players during wealth creation," So you think it's OK for people to be forced out of the economy into destitution, and you'd call that "effective"? Anyway wouldn't the trickle down theory work for them? If not why not? If "no...

    No Fault Evictions

So they say but most businesses are firmly based in particular locations and with particular work forces. The steady reduction of taxes since 1979 did not at any point attract people from higher tax regimes - except oddly enough the property market. Foreign investment with dodgy money is the...

You mean the facts? Quite the opposite. Given more money and they can afford better quality and benefit the UK economy instead of buying cheap stuff from abroad, or from poorly paid workers here. It isn't though is it? By definition they are hanging on to it instead of spending it. They don't...

The way things are warming up there'll potatoes growing on Baffin Island in no time! There'll be enough spare capacity further east to supply darkest Wales, which in the meantime could be reforested and re peated, to sequester carbon. It's all very hypothetical - I think in reality we are going...

    No Fault Evictions

No you are not. The Laffer curve is a general theory about taxation and how it could work as policy on the macro scale. Your own, or any other individuals reactions are dependent on personal circumstances and could be quite different from the average. May be intuitive but not at all obvious. It...

And of course animal feed of every sort means a huge increase in arable land for hay, turnips, beans etc. Easy to misunderstand but a vegetarian diet need much less land for equivalent amount of human nutrition. Less CO2 or methane, more space for wind/solar generation.

If they bought less we could tax them more. Maybe just take top rates back to 60% as it was under Thatcher. Low taxes since then haven't produced any improvement in the economy or society, unless you count top end spending on yachts cars, private aircraft etc. Less VAT and more income tax would...

No but I get the general idea and the more the better, the longer the tenancy the better.

Insurance top of the list, then normal legal processes should be applied - suing for damages, compulsory community service etc.

Can you explain this table saw cut?

I guess the cut released tension and the offcut piece bent. If you didn't have a riving knife in place it might get get cut again as it went past the far edge of the blade. Or with the knife in place it would just stay bent Or something along those lines!

Health Secretary:"People who are abusing NHS staff can be turned away, and should be turned away, if that is the way that they are treating our staff"

My view as to whom is the most racist "race" in the UK is simply right and being demonstrated on a regular basis. As we speak in fact. In so far as "white" is a race of course - we are all the same race in reality.

    Floor Pillar Drill Stability

I made a low and sturdy little table for mine and bolted it on. It made it much more stable and also the new working height was better. It's very heavy but easy to move about with a sack trolley.

Health Secretary:"People who are abusing NHS staff can be turned away, and should be turned away, if that is the way that they are treating our staff"

We are talking about racism in UK NHS here but anyway most (all?) of the countries in your list involve white on black racism, or even brown on browner racism.

Health Secretary:"People who are abusing NHS staff can be turned away, and should be turned away, if that is the way that they are treating our staff"

Possibly the daftest thing you've ever said Deema! 🤣 🤣 Have you really not noticed that virtually all racism is by white people inflicted on black people? Are there cases in the NHS where black people have objected to or otherwise bullied white staff on the basis of race? OK there...

It varied apparently. In the early days council estates/flats had a mixed community but some became "social housing" (horrible term!) for the needy only.

Total beginner just bought an old Arundel J4 I think Junior as its 55 inch long-some help please!

One washer. The plate should screw back to fit tight against the shoulder. It is possible to have the wrong plate which won't do this due to the way it's been machined i.e. it needs a plain bore for a few mm before the thread starts.

Except that rents went up, security of tenure went down, maintenance and care worsened, estates tended to become sink estates I agree.
