    Retail mark up

You raise an interesting point re access to market. Another concern was I provide product and they sell it as our product. Thus I'm considering a simple brand(anyone know where I could get a zig zag border stamp?) It feels that the market has a gate and certain companies closely control what...

    Retail mark up

I'm struggling to feel what benefits they could offer. I suppose a journo could see it and make an article reference. But they may sell less than me. To be fair it would be the highest priced object there selling I could see . But it does fit well with them. Maybe try another outlet see what...

    Retail mark up

I've been making and selling a product via etsy. I do OK selling 2 or 3 a week. I decided to make a list of retailers likely to want my product. Anyway I phoned the first business and was shocked to find there typical margin is 2.4. So to give me £100 they would sell at £240! They did say they...

What saw leaves the best finish - hand or power?

Also just a pencil line as the length mark no permanent physical stops.(a stop you use then remove before the cut would be ok)

What saw leaves the best finish - hand or power?

If I only cut these I would make a zero clearance fence as well albeit at the cost of decent dust collection.

    Which Festool extractor

Last night I brought a midi used and shipped for £150 off ebay. I've broken one for more than that! This one's got the fancy hose to. In the past I just used new disposable bags as it wasn't really expensive and kept the machine spotless inside. But as mentioned in another post festool lifelong...

What saw leaves the best finish - hand or power?

I would think what leaves a consistent square cut safely and a finish that leaves little sanding. Scms with a new blade for me. And with small pieces keep the saw down until stopped spinning

    Forstner Drill Bits

I also favour flat bits in general on site. In bigger sizes without care they can hurt your wrist. Damhik

After 40 years - its' died

Do they even exist now. Seems unlikely(as a company they may exist as a name/brand)

Recommend me the best countersink for wood / ply

I got some Fisch brad points that seem OK. There certainly more centred than all my cheap ones. But I'm not convinced there Austrian. Everything about them shouts good quality chinese. Maybe if it mentioned country of origin anywhere. Not dissatisfied yet just disappointed in dodgy advertising.

After 40 years - its' died

I was gifted a Moore and Wright set from the estate of a well known machinery maker. Anyway my point is to find a lost centre finder as they have the same screw. Equally an angle wotsit. Same screw. I have a mitutoyo one you can have if it fits. I use the centre finder as an angle square more...

Recommend me the best countersink for wood / ply

I've misplaced my countersink it's in one of my little used tool boxes somewhere! I'm just saving for a new one! I recall having a rush of blood to take me over the £50 free shipping. I can't recall what the other thing was but this is very memorable! And it's that really hard-wearing hss.
