Does your jigsaw have an angle adjuster for the blade. My Bosch will tilt the balde forward or back in 3 positions. In one position the blade hardely cuts, then when adjusted to the angle the blade likes it cutS like hot knife through butter.

All hvlp units will do orange peel if paint not thinned properly. The hardest thing to get right with the hvlp is getting your product thinned to the right consistency. Only at that point will it atomize properly and off to car painting you go!

Paring something flat with a draw knife is like me making a road perfectly flat with a skid steer . Not the right tool for the job. You could do it if you were really good but a road grader would do it years before a bobcat or skid steer could do it.
