Call to everyone to join this years secret Santa. There is a thread called The 2023 Secret Santa starts in earnest. . Best thing I do each year. A group of woodworkers or any type of maker get drawn for a partner and exchange a Christmas gift. Phil Pascoe does an awesome job organizing. Check it...
Happy Thanksgiving. She is lucky to live on the Island, Beautiful place. We live in the mountains , like the island ( somewhat), but a lot less rain, but colder in the winter.
Yes, rails out the front a problem every time you try and make a cut, rails out the back, only a problem when you set it up, make sure it will extend , screw it doan then it's never ever a problem again.
I really dislike the makita. With the rails out front it is really hard to properly see the cut on the left side. And I'm a carpenter that uses a saw all day long. Our boss replaced our dewalt with a makita, it's new and shinny and sits in the trailer now. Not one of our carpenters who tried the...
Perfect, it's a product I've never seen before in Canada. I'd still lean towards a urethane or hybrid as lacquers even if they say brush able usually are not.
Is that a craft product ? I get Leary on none professional finishes as they sell the craft market a lot of cheap bogus products. Has anyone used this on art pieces with longevity results?
WowserS. Our original tax code was 10 pages long. Then govt needed more money. It's now over 3,200. Pages long. If it was just a simple flat tax situation. We could do our taxes in 5 minutes on a postcard size document.
how long does it take to become a tax person over there? 3 years just to...
When I have pieces with crevasse, I thin down my product and brush crevices then spray. And yes melamine hybrids work on all those materials when properly prepped. And you can brush crevices.

Here is a manual and a page to set it up with each dif size wheel. 6,7 and 8.
I suppose a riser block under unit to get it to centre of wheel will allow you to use on any size wheel. Then when you have set up. Cut some small pieces of wood at each angle and see if they match your jig angles. If...
In Canada if you get pulled over and tested, all you have to say is I was down a mountain road and ran out of gas and was stranded so put a few jerry cans of red gas in to get me back out and home. Perfectly legal now!
I'd be much more afraid of that hippo ! I quess I chase enough bears out of my yard. Been to jasper many times. Lived in Banff and Canmore , now live an hour away in Windermere bc. Could never, not live in the mountains. A few weeks ago a tour group had a momma and baby grizzly follow them down...
Hey I love your picture, Lon's. I had one of those in my Apple tree last night in front yard. Just as big. Broke a huge 6 inch round main branch by just pulling it down with a paw. To lazy to climb tree.
