    US Election November 5th

or perhaps it shows that people who are more likely to support Trump are more likely to bet and therefore bet on him. His followers consistently spend their money buying his awful products - DJT media stock, Gold coins, NFTs, Gold trainers, bits of his clothing, Bibles, hats and a lot of other...

Can I make all usual structures with just wood from my small woodland?

Whatever you do strip the bark off, it will make the log last longer. Could use an adze or an axe if you are careful, although a draw knife is probably the easiest. I'd also look to put the logs onto pad stones to reduce the amount of water coming up into the log from the ground, which will...

    US Election November 5th

Is that your 'evidence' of the disgusting behaviour of the left? Was it a cover-up when in a deposition Trump was asked to identify the people in a photo and he pointed to a woman and said it was his Ex-wife Marla and the lawyer then pointed out it was E Jean Carrol that Trump was pointing at...

    US Election November 5th

This is the point I keep re-iterating. I am getting the vast majority of my information directly from the horses mouth. There is no debate to be had when Donald Trump is the one saying the things he is saying. The same goes for JD Vance and the rest of the hangers on. It is not some media bias...

    US Election November 5th

This for me is the problem. I can list a whole page of things that Trump has said verbatim that is extremely worrying, along with a list of laws that he has clearly broken, and these form my basis for an extreme dislike of who Donald Trump is and what Donald Trump stands for. Your post just...

    US Election November 5th

But that's the thing that many seem to forget. We aren't getting our opinion of Trump from some news outlet, we are getting it from Trump himself. I am literally watching him say the things he is saying. It's not some smear campaign that I am getting my opinion from, it is direct from the...

    US Election November 5th

Well you can't really blame Trump for Covid but his presidency wasn't exactly great. Whilst it was difficult for anyone to lead people through it he managed to confuse americans with mixed messaging and completely nonsensical 'suggestions' like injecting bleach, whilst pushing false information...

    Creaking laminate?

I may be missing a trick but I can't see how you can undercut a doorframe to allow the board in. Unless you start at the door (perhaps this is the trick?) the board needs to be put in at a 45 degree angle to click into the next one, which makes it impossible for it to get past the doorframe.

So was Putin. I'm sure both were free and fair elections.

    US Election November 5th

you've forgotten his obsession with dictators. He literally has nothing nice to say about western leaders but continually praises dictators and has even hosted Victor Orban at Mar a largo. Along with his 'poisoning the blood' speeches which are strangely reminiscent of a certain other leader...

    US Election November 5th

I did watch a youtube vid the other day between 2 people (both have large num of youtube followers). The one of them who was basically a democrat and the other 'undecided' but mostly Trump leaning. It was interesting the views that the 'undecided' person which were in most parts wrong. The...

    US Election November 5th

Whether it's Harris or a bag of potatoes that was running against Trump, it wouldn't change my opinion of Trump.

    US Election November 5th

It's a choice between 2 people becoming the President of the United States of America, the most powerful nation in the world with real world consequences for more than just the US, in particular Ukraine and therefore Europe. Pretending that you can discuss your perceived failings of one of...

    US Election November 5th

Trump literally danced for 38mins after kind of answering 5 questions and you think Harris is the one with problems? You think Harris can't answer a question with a nice succinct summary? I can't even understand most of the insane rambling of Trump, and when he does manage to put some words...

when is an oak door not an oak door .

looks a bit like the cheap indian hardwood. Not sure what it's called but often see it in pallets etc. I assume it's the equivalent of our use of pine.

Advice on running electrics to shed

Pretty much any coiled extension lead sold that I have seen in the UK has a rating marked on the side. My 25m cable for example can run 750w coiled or 3000w uncoiled. They often have a thermal overload protection switch as well. I was at a party last year in an unheated space so someone plugged...

Securing brace on a ledge and brace door

I made a redwood ledged and braced door last year. I screwed the lengths to the rails and also the brace, from the inside so you can't see them from the outside. I put 1 screw in the centre of each rail and brace into the board, so each board can expand or contract as needed. Seems to be a good...

    Electric vehicles

I honestly don't know the difference but why is this any different from France for example investing in their car industry https://www.ft.com/content/8e84e13b-d02f-4d90-839d-f99c3a0c1d95? Why is that not unfair?

    Lightweight dust mask - basecamp?

Hi, I've decided I want a lighter dust mask. I've been using respirators up until now but finding they are heavy on my face, so want something a lot lighter. I get a lot of sinus problems so I'm trying to find something with a lot less weight around my nose. I've looked at a few like the...

Workshop Fire Safety - Networked Fire Alarms

I actually have a split consumer unit with 2 rcds and 2 MCBs that are not on those RCDs (1 for solar which has it's own separate consumer unit with RCD and 1 that I'm not currently using which I intend to put the rcbo on for the smoke alarms at some point) but thought that might be too much...
