Incra ibox & British table saws

Steve I have just cut a load of 6mm UHMWPE strips 17 and 20mm wide for this very purpose, it's a regular issue with European machines as all the American kit is made for standard 3/4" x 3/8" mitre slots. Dado saws are still fairly rare in the UK. Cheers Peter

    Donkey's Ear Shooting Board

Rob I have made what I would hope to be improvements and a few extras, still a work in progress and playing with a few different materials as well. We have been making a standard 90 degrees for some time so this is a pimped up version of that Cheers Peter

    Donkey's Ear Shooting Board

Looks good Rob, I have been prototyping a couple of shooting boards again based on the old Wearing design. Hadn't seen Mitch's one before. Interesting comments from custard, I haven't got a LN but just bought a Veritas to test, I will have to see if it suffers the same problem. Cheers Peter

    Money abroad - who's a seasoned traveller?

We generally use the Revolut card abroad but last time we went to Italy we were amazed how many places didn't accept cards, it seems cash was king. Have a good time. Cheers Peter

    New Magazine???

I am sure it would be well received Nick - your approach was always insightful. I recently had a lady visitor to the workshop who came to thank me for getting her young lad into woodworking. She told me how my wooden glider making at one of my open days set him on his way to a design and...

    Makers Central

Nick Zammit the events creator has said it won't be running again, I can only assume it costs to much to bring in all the international demonstrators. Cheers Peter

    Makers Central

It's a UK movement and show but well supported by the international YT community. Last year was very good, this year looks even better, looks like it could be the last one.

    Dewalt 625 or Trend T10

Better than the Trend IMO, I don't have any experience of the Hitachi but I would think they are a workhorse.

    Dewalt 625 or Trend T10

I feel the Dewalt are better quality, I have a few 625s in the workshop. My Trend routers haven't lasted as long.

Low-ish cost Router Plate with lift

In my experience quality thickness planers work on a single column whist some of the cheaper version which are more prone to heal and snipe work off four post and chain setups. Cheers Peter

Low-ish cost Router Plate with lift

We have sold both of these and a few more versions and still do, but I would say JessEm (the router lift inventors) are still the best. They used to make for Woodpecker but they now make their own not as good as the JessEm, JessEm also make the lifts for Incra. The Prestige is a hidden gem...

    need a new router plate

sunnybob Our experience suggests you should have no problem using Makita RP 1801, however I unfortunately cannot find a mounting hole diagram so cannot confirm this. Should the hole spacings be ok with the plate the only other items you will need are the mounting bolts for the router as we...
