    *Small* electric screwdriver?

Any recommendations please, for those small jobs round the house where the drill/driver is too big? Around the size of a tube of toothpaste, that idea.

    Well I Never, printer kaput?

If it was a mechanical switch, multiple use may have 'cleaned' the contact. Agree with others though, some of these 'solutions' are quite ... odd.

can you put hampshire sheen on dainish oil?

Furniture was on Tung oil; just finished a little job like that. Not polished, but 'sheen' is the right word. Worked for me.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

Inner cable is less of a problem, it's the 9mm outer sheath that is 'oversized'.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

Plenty of room for bulky inners and sheath? Thanks for the tip.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

Downside (minor) Sheath o/s diameter is 8mm. Not many 13A plugs will take that happily.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

The Arctic cable arrived (feels quite warm ;-) ) Sort of half way between my 'rubbery' cable and the Black and Decker orange (if you've had any). Quite thick - no issue with current I don't think. Folds neatly (half the battle). 7/10 in my books.

    Double fail for Amazon

The other aspect is the 'outside Amazon' price (plus delivery plus VAT) vs higher Amazon prime cost which includes delivery? Worth comparing both.

    Drill guides

@petermillard seen using a small 'drill block' (Amazon has them) which seems sufficient for up to 10mm (most common?). Also has a V for drilling round stuff.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

1.5mm is good for most tools (graded at 16A).

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

Amazon have it. H05RNF Bit more expensive. Not reviewed in terms of flexibility, but looks the part.

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

No chemicals around (just muck and sawdust). I'll try the Arctic m..^h cable ;-)

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

This? 'For cold weather? Sort of makes sense, more flex at 'normal' temps? (Or was your brother a roadie for Arctic Monkeys ;-) )

Extension / electric cable - the rubbery stuff?

I have one (short) extension lead. 'Floppy'. Guess rubber coated. Never gets in a tangle, Good for 2kW tools etc. Ideal. All I've found in the shops (even 'lecky outlet) is plastic, knotty, tangly stuff? Can soft stuff be found in UK please?

See how good M&W are? Write to them and see if they will help? They must have some good engineers? Nothing to lose?

    Sanding sealer? How to...

Turps did dilute it - though 50:50 would surely make it rather thin? Rustins... I 'll have a look see if it is Shellac based.

    Sanding sealer? How to...

Yes, Rustins. I had to thin it with Turps.
