    1/4" shank 1/4 x 1 x 1/4" template router cutters

Edit, its actually 1/2" cutter length I'm, not 1" :) I have actualy managed to find a Faithfull [here] I'm going to order a couple and give them a try. I'll let you know how I get on. (Just for future reference, they do have a 1" cutter length version [here].

    1/4" shank 1/4 x 1 x 1/4" template router cutters

Hi guys. I often need to use a 1/4" diameter template bit and at the moment I have to use a Silverline bit as I can't seem to find any bits made by anyone else. The Silverline bits are awful. The bearing at least and possibly the flutes are well out of concentricity in regards to the...

    Setting router bit concentric

Thanks again for the input. Like I said I bought a £15 Trend bit from B&Q and I still have a similar problem, or is that still considered cheap? :) I'll check the spindle of the bit and also the inside of the shaft where the collet locates with a finger clock. I'll let you know how I get on.

    Setting router bit concentric

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to bring a DTI home from work tomorrow and check it. This is a brand new router and brand new bit. It hasn't even touched a piece of material yet. A router should spin true though shouldn't it?

    Setting router bit concentric

Hi guys. Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't really sure where to put it. I seem to have problems getting my router bits to spin true. I pretty much use my router exclusively in a table and its clear that they are not running concentric. My first router was a B&Q own...

3.2mm radius roundover bit with 9.5mm bearing?

Thanks for the help. Yeah that bit looks like it will do it, its a bit pricey at £31 though but hey... The bearing/pin is running against a brass template I made to make some button bezels to surround some pushbuttons for custom Xbox 360 controllers. This is the routing/drilling template: I...

3.2mm radius roundover bit with 9.5mm bearing?

I'm having trouble finding a 3.2mm radius router bit with a 9.5mm bearing. I have found many with a 12.7mm bearing and have also found some with a 9.5mm bearing but these ones have a shoulder and are more of an ovolo cutter. My problem is I'm following a profile that has a few 5mm internal...

Thanks for the offer Steve, I may just take you up on that. :) The table saw is my number one prioity though, I'll have a good dig around on the forum. Thanks for the compliment Chems, I'm trying! I've learnt so much as I've been going along. I had only really used a router to cut t-moulding...

Thanks for the warm welcome and information guys :) That Norm router table looks very nice. I presume its [this one]? Would it be a suitable project for me to build? I can't imagine it to be 'too' taxing. I imagine I would also need the hardware kit? Can it only be bought from the US or...

Thanks woodbloke. Do you know how many posts are needed to show images/links? I don't really want to post willy nilly and technically spam the forum. Ill have to see if I can find some threads to post into. Well I suppose this is another for the count :)

Hey guys, my name is Franco and I'm a CNC machinist from Lincoln. I've only been woodworking on and off for a couple of years with a couple of basic projects. I'm just about to move into my first house with a garage so I'm going to set up a little workshop for me to potter about in. (:)) I'm...
