    Multi-functional Workbench

Update 16-02-2025 Power supply: Finally managed to complete the power supply in the bench. Plenty of sockets (overkill, I know 😁) for bits and pieces. I have like 20 metres of those conduits and loads of swiched 2G sockets just sitting there getting dusty. So, I decided to use some of them...

    Multi-functional Workbench

Oh! I havent seen many tablesaws so no idea what to expect. Yeah, it will be good to hear from others with the same saw. Maybe I will start a new thread for this once I take a couple of photos

Thanks for your comment Cabinetman. I have levelled the saw surface to about a mm higher than the bench itself. There is another issue to sort out on the table say is that the plate covering the blade is not 100% level with the rest of the saw surface. Not sure how to approach that one yet.

    Multi-functional Workbench

Update 03-02-2025 Finally managed to setup the tablesaw. Made a couple of silly mistakes though... There isnt enough wiggle room for the tablesaw to move left to right unfortunately but will try and find a way to sort that out if it becomes an issue... Sealed the bopttom of the tablesaw for...

    Multi-functional Workbench

Thanks John. The clearance seems OK for now but will know for sure once the bench is fully loaded. Will post an update in that regard when the time comes. Regarding the ammeter, I don't want to go over the 16A draw from the bench's power sockets. So I did some research and decided to install...

Thanks Jaydeeh. Yes, that's one of the methods I'm thinking of. Yet to figure out an easily workable me hanism.

    Multi-functional Workbench

Update 13-01-2025 I managed to install the INCRA Router insert plate and the router is hanging under the table now. I was quite nervous and excited to do this. Any mistakes mean I have to replace the whole sheet of ply. All went well as per the plan which is unusual.

Thanks :) I noticed a problem with that mechanism unfortunately. Due to the weight of the table, the top 4x2 is twisting and releases itself from the lock. So, I need to setup the same mechanism on the other side of the 4x2 as well to make it stronger.

    Multi-functional Workbench

Thanks bp122 I might do some in line with the vice. Hehehe it's a decent size workshop but the previous owner left a lot of crap and I have a pool table in it as well so it feels quite crammed at the moment. Will tidy it all up and get organised eventually.

    Multi-functional Workbench

This is my first post here... I am not great at explaining things but will try my best. I had a 8 x 3 ft workbench which I built about 3 years ago. It was my first bench but was very solidly built. Loved that bench but recently purchased a Scheppach TS2010 table saw, Kity 635 Planner...
