    DeWalt or Makita?

Just for balance DeWalt and Bosch also offer 3 year warranties if registered on line. I'd be surprised if any of the other big names didn't do so too, but I don't have any of those so can't confirm.

Drill an MFT top using an MFT top as a template

I have done that to make a 600 x 900 top with good results, afaik! My accuracy hasn't deteriorated so it worked for me.

    MG Midget engine rebuild

Weren't they both same basic 'A series' engine? Annoyingly the engine had to come out to change the clutch on our 73 midget.

Rutlands router jig for small items

For small stuff I use an old wooden clamp, the type with 2 threaded rods, especially useful for odd shapes. I don't know if there's a specific name for them, but picture below (hopefully).

    Talk about rip-off Britain.

If it was anything like around here, you would be waiting at least 3 weeks for the appointment :-(

    Evri....or is it?!

I didn't realise that! Perhaps I've just been lucky with stuff I've ordered so far 🤷

    Evri....or is it?!

We have our Amazon stuff delivered to our local post office, no minimum order then for delivery! I realise that's not convenient for everyone but it's a good option to have. I believe you can have deliveries to other local shops postage free.

Newbie acquires a cheap bandsaw with decent depth of cut

Looks like a nice Christmas present! It's a bit too late now, but the consensus by most on this forum is Tuffsaws as the supplier of choice for the best bandsaw blades.

    Bandsaw blades

Just a thought, but do you have any friends in the UK that you could have blades delivered to and then they could send on to you? Would obviously be more expensive but at least you would know exactly what you were getting 🤷

    Table mounting Makita Router

I have the same router mounted in a table. All I did was remove the plastic sub base and use that as a template to drill the aluminium table insert. I had to buy slightly longer screws as the plate is thicker than the plastic sub base but other than that no issues at all. It's also worth...

    You can't prove a negative!

    Climate change policy

Well, if they're anything like me, they're following threads like these with great interest, plus it's preferable to talking to some of the people I know 🤣 🤣

    Bathroom floor vinyl click flooring

My son with 3 teenage daughters has had it down for about 6 years with no problems, and knowing him it was probably the cheapest stuff available!

    Putin is a loser

Well said! One interesting, to me anyway, thing in your post is that pillock appears to be acceptable to the censors but i**ot isn't. I wonder if it doesn't exist in other English's so gets through 🤷.

    US Election November 5th

Not taking sides here but reading Jacob's posts about the situation in Israel, it seems to me that he is against the over the top retaliation to the Hamas attack, as a decent human being. I'm not getting any ant Semitic vibes from them at all. Just an observation!
