My first try at posting pictures.......................

First reaction was how well you have maintained the grain alignment across the base-lid interface. Finish would appear to be well controlled also.
Favorite is the small Yew piece, personally happy with it as is.
Not quite sure about the lid on the spalted piece, looks a little heavy as photographed, may not seem as such in reality though.
 
You have made two great urns..something more natural using a wooden
urn for ashes that plastic or metal..
The matching grain on the lids is outstanding as is the finish on the large
urn..
You have taken a good pic for display..Thanks for showing your work hgb..

Nice shape on the large urn,and looks to be well finished, but would like to have seen a little more detail on the lid,with a finial on the top perhaps in a contrasting wood or ebonised.I take it that it is Sycamore :?:
The Yew one look lovely too but the base looks to be too wide and flat.Might look better with a rounded base.Nice photo though :D
