The Slow Speed Cruesen is £245 on Axminster website. The deluxe jig is £88, The ruby wheel is £27 Dressing Wheel £11 and the Axminster tool rest is discontinues but I seem to remember it between £20-30

I'm afraid not. I bought it without them. I'm not going to debate safety here. But I really don't think they are essential. I've never felt unsafe whilst using it and it gives you more access to the wheel when freehand sharpening.

I bought my Creusen slow grind second hand without any guards fitted but i have made my own and fitted them before using it.
Mine does deflect the wheel dust away a little.
I have seen a high speed stone shatter and it isn't very pleasent. :shock:

Thats tempting, but I am saving my pocket money for a ProEdge as well. Nearly there.....anyone want to buy a gun cabinet or a 5 string Bass or a 90 watt Bass amp? I have to clear out some old toys.

It was me who removed it, not the mods.

It's not directed at any one person. I just feel that without any structure or management, this forum has no direction and as such it's common place to treat a For Sale thread as a discussion.
