The results for the autumn Challenge are now in and are made up as follows.
My thanks to Paul Hannaby for ably judging the entries.
Judge's Scores
Hi Graham,
Here's the results -
1. Dalboy - Confident enough to choose a finish that hides nothing! That say it all.
2. Gregmcateer - There is no rule that says bare wood isn't an acceptable finish. good arrangement of the piercing
3. Dennisk - Nicely turned but perhaps more thought could have been put in to how the bottom could have been finished.
4. NazNomad (oak platter) - Nicely pierced. A more even wall thickness would improve the piercing.
5. Samfire - Nicely pierced and decorated. More attention to tool technique.
Well done to all who entered. There were some interesting interpretations amongst the entries.
Regards
Paul
Entrants' Scores
( Just to explain this, contestants vote for their top 3 to which I allocate 3 ‘votes’ for first, 2 ‘votes’ for second and 1 ‘vote’ for third – rocket science eh ? These are then added up and allocated 1st to 5th.)
