Hi all
I hope one of you can help! Being a relative newcomer and untrained, etc... it's taken me some time to get familiar with the workings of some of my machinery. I've been having trouble planing stock on my p/t, a DeWalt 1150 and on further investigation I've noticed that the infeed table has a little wobble, about a mm or two at most but enough to make a difference. It only wobbles on one side as indicated by the arrow in the picture:

There are various screws underneath the table but I'm not sure if any of them will take up the slack that's in the table. If anyone has a solution I've taken pictures of it from lots of different angles:

Any ideas?

i had same problem with same machine. never got rid of it. only caused a problem when planning long stock. it was a sort of stiff wobble so learned to live with it. sorry not much help

Thanks anyway, Lugo.
Guess I'll have to do the same!

Heres my guess as a user of a yellow coloured version. :?
On that particular table the rise and fall of the table is operated on a cam or as in the spares list No 44 ECCENTRIC CONNECTION DW50-55 and I would say the left one is out of sync with the right one or one of them is worn.

Parts List

Let me know if you want pics or anything else

Thanks for the suggestion, Sawdust.
I'll investigate tomorrow, though I'm wary of making the problem worse by undoing things!
Cheers

Do you have a manuel as I have the Elu one ( they are all the same ) and I have I if that might help :)

Hi Colin
I've got some photocopied sheets somewhere which I'll look out today. I know I've got the parts lists, not sure about the rest of the manual. Thanks for your kind offer - I'll let you know.
Best wishes

Have found the manual - it gives guidance about how to adjust the infeed table but I'm not sure that will help. The problem seems to be that the bar that connects to the cam which raises and lowers the table is a little loose in the hole in the cam. Could maybe be shimmed but guess I'll probably learn to live with it :(

Hope photo makes my words clearer:

Thanks for the replies, guys.

I suspect the bar is not worn but the ecentic was bored a little oversize. boring it out and bushing to the correct dia would solve it in that case.
